June 4, 2013SALT LAKE CITY—The Salt Lake City Police Department’s Strategic Deployment Bureau invites the media to attend Bicycle Operations School tomorrow.
Held at Sugar House Park, 1330 E. 2100 S., the hands-on training helps officers interested in the position to understand the rigor of high-visibility, urban bike patrol work, as well as prepare them for mountainous terrain along the city’s foothills.
Ten officers from the Salt Lake City Police Department and four officers from other agencies will participate in this training.
The Police Department will supply bicycles and other equipment for reporters who wish to try cone patterns, track standing, and other training exercises.
