Free coffee when you talk to an officer from 8-10 a.m. Thursday, January 23

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department invites the public to meet and talk with officers during “Coffee With a Cop” at the Blue Plate Diner, 2041 S. 2100 E., Thursday, January 23, from 8-10 a.m.Blue Plate will offer a free cup of regular coffee to anyone who speaks with an officer from 8–10 a.m. Community Intelligence Officers will be on hand to answer questions the public may have about crime trends or public safety issues in the neighborhood or the city.

A collaborative effort to solve public safety issues at the neighborhood level, “Coffee with a Cop” is a monthly community outreach effort supported by Salt Lake City, Local First Utah and the Downtown Alliance.
