SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department invites the public to meet and talk with officers during “Coffee With a Cop” at Piñon Café, 2095 E. 1300 S., Thursday, February 27, from 8-10 a.m.

Piñon Café will offer a free cup of regular coffee to anyone who speaks with an officer from 8-10 a.m. Community Intelligence Officers will be on hand to answer questions the public may have about crime trends or public safety issues in the neighborhood or the city.

A collaborative effort to solve public safety issues at the neighborhood level, “Coffee with a Cop” is a monthly community outreach effort supported by Salt Lake City, Local First Utah and the Downtown Alliance.
