SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department’s Evidence Unit has items which have been taken into custody that will be donated, destroyed or otherwise eliminated effective July 28, 2014. These items include the following:

Backpacks, purses, bags, clothing, sleeping bags, luggage, bedding, miscellaneous personal cards (Social Security cards, identification cards, credit cards, etc.), miscellaneous papers (birth certificates, letters, photos, registrations, etc.), wallets, day planners, keys, bikes, bike parts, skateboards, bike trailer, cart, iPods, iPads, DVDs, CDs, desktop and laptop computers with equipment, guns and knives with accessories, home and car stereos with equipment, amplifiers, cell phones, chargers, hand and power tools, money, jewelry, GPS, license plates, e-cigarettes, car jack, toys, flask, vehicle cleaning items, auto parts, mask, floor mats, dishes, perfume, child’s electric ATV, safe, range finder, power cords, digital cameras, jewelry box, tin container, file, knife sharpener, speaker box, PS3, Xbox 360, oxygen tanks, wire, two-seat stroller, stun gun, yard tools, binoculars, games, DVD player for vehicle, printers, label makers, guitar with case.

Reasonable attempts have been made to contact the owners where applicable by U.S. Mail.
