Smith’s-Avenues hosts next officer drop-in October 24th

SALT LAKE CITY — Thursday morning the Salt Lake City Police Department  will drop into Smith’s in the Avenues —402 6th Avenue — to answer questions about crime during the next “Coffee with a Cop.”

Smith’s will offer a cup of coffee to anyone who speaks with an officer from 8–10 a.m. inside the store deli. Community Intelligence Officers will be on hand to discuss crime trends and answer questions the public may have about public safety.

A collaborative effort to solve public safety issues at the neighborhood level, “Coffee with a Cop” is a monthly community outreach effort supported by Salt Lake City, Local First Utah and the Downtown Alliance.
