SALT LAKE CITY— The Salt Lake City Police Department’s monthly outreach known as “Coffee with a Cop” gets a summer makeover suitable for the hot temperatures expected Thursday morning.

Look for officers in the northwest end of Liberty Park for “Chill with a Cop” from 8-10 a.m. Thursday, July 24. This warm weather and mobile version of “Coffee with a Cop” will feature free popsicles when the public talks with an officer, while supplies last.

Whether it’s coffee or popsicles, this monthly outreach program seeks to break down barriers and create a relaxed, one-on-one interaction between police officers and the public.
