Aggravated Burglary/Attempted Homicide
1212 E. 200 S.
A 63-year-old victim was confronted a male, later identified as Matthew Wall (4/9/84), who had entered his home unlawfully. An altercation took place and Matthew stabbed the victim multiple times in the chest. The victim was able to escape and go to a neighbor’s house for help. Matthew left the home and was taken into custody by responding officers. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but was later upgraded to stable. Matthew was booked for attempted homicide and burglary charges.

Construction workers for a new building found that someone had written a bomb threat on the inside of a portable bathroom. Nothing was located.
1770 W. Sir Jeffery Way
The Narcotics Unit served a warrant. Heroin, methamphetamine and paraphernalia were seized. A 15 month old child was sheltered to the Christmas Box House by Child Protective Services. Mary Smeding (1/7/72) and Chris Smeding (1/21/70) were booked on drug and child endangerment charges. Rachel Rollins (4/17/75) and Richard Sewell (10/7/64) were booked on drug charges.
