Man with a Gun
1600 S. 900 E.
Officers were dispatched on a man with a gun call. One of the arriving officers located the suspect in a nearby alley. As the officer attempted to take him into custody the suspect attempted to headbutt the officer, broke free, and fled. Officers verified who the suspect was and were informed that he had broken into the garage of a nearby home. A short time later, officers arrested Carlos Olmedo (2/25/83) near 900 E. Logan Avenue and booked him for burglary, fleeing, assault on a police officer and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.

900 E. 1300 S.
An officer observed a male running from the Shell Food Mart towards a white jeep that was parked around the corner. As the officer approached the vehicle one of the occupants jumped out and fled. Of the three remaining, a juvenile was cited and released to a parent, an adult was cited and released, and the third suspect, Cole Mannos (10/01/93), was booked into jail for enhanced felony theft. The suspect who fled the scene was not located.
820 S. 1300 E.
Two police vehicles were stopped on the side of the road with emergency lights activated. The officers were on the side of the street processing a DUI driver. Another vehicle was traveling southbound on 1300 E when it struck the back of one police vehicle pushing it into the second police car. One of the police cars struck an officer in the leg. The officer was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle that struck the police vehicles will have charges screen against her for DUI.
