703 E. 600 S.
Two male suspects entered the Jewelry Guild shop wearing masks and brandishing handguns. The victim reported that one of the suspects fired a shot into the floor. The suspects apparently panicked prior to taking property and exited the business empty handed. A witness saw the suspects flee the area in a van.
910 W. 2100 S.
The male suspect entered the Zions Bank just as it was closing. He approached a teller and demanded cash. The teller complied with the demand and the suspect fled northbound on foot. Occupied Stolen Vehicle/Agency Assist
700 N. 900 W.
Andrew Barela (7/3/84) fled from Metro Narcotics officers after they stopped him in a stolen vehicle at this address. SLCPD K-9 officers were able to locate Barela and take him into custody.
61 N. Tommy Thompson Rd.
Based on a tip that David Erik Traversa, who is wanted for several bank robberies, was at the above address, officers and robbery detectives responded to the MicroTel hotel. While setting up containment, the suspect’s girlfriend, Alessandra Russo (11/18/92), tipped off the suspect, who fled the scene. Russo was interviewed by detectives and then booked for two counts of robbery and one count of obstruction of justice.
800 N. Picture Dr.
Officers attempted to stop a vehicle that was southbound on Picture Dr. The driver, Austin Harper (11/18/80), fled. He did not flee at a high rate of speed and, other than refusing to stop for police, continued to obey traffic laws. Officers did not pursue but later located Harper in the vehicle as he was pulling into the driveway at 1158 N. Colorado St. Harper was arrested for fleeing. The passenger of the vehicle, Echo Garcia (8/9/83), was arrested for warrants.
469 N. 1300 W.
Officers responded on reports of a man forcing a woman into a vehicle. Officers arrived and were confronted by Nicholas Treadwell (2/4/84), who was verbally and physically aggressive towards officers, kicking one officer in the leg. The victim, Treadwell’s girlfriend, was inside a van at this address and reported that Treadwell assaulted here and forced into the van, which she was not allowed to leave. Officers arrested and booked Treadwell into jail for kidnapping, assault, assault on a police officer, and criminal mischief.
