Robbery with a gun
218 Edith Ave.
A 30-year-old man was sitting on the steps of his apartment when a man approached and asked for the time. As the victim answered, the suspect produced a black handgun from his waistband, pointed it at the victim, and demanded the victim’s wallet and cell phone. After the victim complied, the suspect was last seen running southbound on 200 East from Edith Ave. He is described as a male Hispanic adult, long hair tied in a bun, goatee, 20 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 180 lbs., and wearing a red T-shirt, black shorts and white tennis shoes.
Fatal Traffic Accident
657 S. Redwood Rd.
Joseph Delmar Watt, 40, was driving an SUV northbound on Redwood Road when he drifted over the center median and into the path of an oncoming tow truck. The SUV driver was declared dead at the scene. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
200 E. 900 S.
Two men were walking in the area of 200 East and 900 South when a black-colored vehicle pulled up and fired a gun at them. One of the rounds struck one of the men in the right ankle. The male victim was transported in serious condition. Gang detectives are conducting the follow-up investigation.
