254 S. Eisenhower Way
Neighbors heard two apparent gun shots and observed a man in the road and a woman in a car about 50 feet from the man. Upon arrival, officers found Calvin Eatchel, 51, and Debra Eatchel, 53, deceased. This appears to be a murder/suicide and no suspects are outstanding. The investigation is continuing.
2126 S. Blair St.
The Narcotics Unit served a search warrant in which they seized several pounds of marijuana, ketamine, LSD, mushrooms, various prescription pain pills, paraphernalia and a large amount of cash. Samuel Teplick (2/19/92) and Candice Kazmarzyk (6/15/95) were charged with possession with Intent to distribute and paraphernalia.
Robbery with Knife
2263 S. Highland Dr. (Gamestop)
A customer had been visiting with clerks about games until the business began to close. At that point, the customer approached the counter and demanded money, threatening the clerks with a weapon. The clerks complied and the suspect left on foot. He is described as a male white adult, about 25 years of age, 6 feet 1 inch tall, heavy build, full beard, and wearing jeans, black shirt, purple hat and carrying a brown laptop bag over his shoulder.
150 S. 400 W.
An adult male was walking in the area of 150 S. 400 W. when he was approached and harassed by a male with long black hair who appeared to be intoxicated. As the victim tried to avoid confrontation, the suspect brandished a knife and slashed the victim in the arm. He was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. The suspect is described as a male Indian adult, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 170 lbs., and wearing a black T-shirt.
