The manager of the Apple Store called to report two customers with fraudulent Pennsylvania IDs attempting to purchase iPads under existing customers’ names. Officers responded and took William Torres (4/12/92), and A/P Kayla Nunez (6/14/94), into custody. The manager also discovered that they had purchased iPads earlier in the day at the Farmington Apple Store, also using fraudulent IDs. After being interviewed by detectives, the suspects were booked on multiple charges, including second-degree felony communications fraud, possession of forged documents, and theft by deception.

Two pedestrians were crossing 300 West just south of the 200 South crosswalk when an unknown vehicle traveling southbound on 300 West struck one of the pedestrians. The victims were able to flag down a passing motorist to call 911. One of the pedestrians told officers he thought the vehicle was white in color but was unsure if it was a truck or a car. Officers searched for witnesses in the area but were unable to locate any. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
