A man and a woman were in a black Dodge Ram pickup with the woman’s 32-year-old son/suspect when an altercation broke out. The son assaulted the man so the victims exited the truck and started to walk eastbound on 200 S. The suspect then got out of the truck and assaulted his mother. He then got back into the truck and drove up on the sidewalk toward the victims. The male victim hid behind a tree, but the suspect ran over the tree and struck him with the truck. The suspect then fled eastbound on 200 S. The male victim was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition, the female received very minor injuries. Officers located the truck abandoned at 731 S. 300 E. and are currently searching for the suspect.
