Compiled by Watch Commanders in the field, the Watch Log is a summary of events they felt stood out in the last 24-hour period. Items contained herein are based on information available at the time of its release and should not be interpreted as an admission or finding of guilt. Stolen Purse/Foot Pursuit
634 E. 400 S.
The victim was loading groceries into her car at Trader Joe’s when an unknown party removed her purse from her cart. Her iPhone (which was in her purse) was indicating the phone was in the area of the Shelter. Officers tracked the phone to the area of the LDS Temple; where they observed the suspect, David Fullmer (03-06-1985). Fullmer, upon seeing Law Enforcement, took off running. Officers were able to catch the suspect and he was booked into jail for possession of stolen property (Enhanced Felony III), possession of financial cards (7), Possession of Heroin, possession of Methamphetamine and Paraphernalia.
Pedestrian Stop/Drug Arrest
215 S. 500 W.
Officers were watching for drug activity around the men’s shelter and observed a white male, later identified as Kasey Foulger (dob 4-28-92) in possession of a red back pack. Officers observed a number of other male individuals grabbing things out of the backpack and then leaving. Officers conducted a level one stop on the individual and progressed with the investigation. Officers located a large quantity of narcotics inside the backpack. Total amount of narcotics seized were as follows: Heroin 41 grams, Methamphetamine 16 grams, Crack Cocaine-35 grams, Marijuana-21 grams along with a large amount of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was booked for Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute (Felony 1) in Drug Free Zone (four counts), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in a Drug Free Zone (MA) and False Information to Officer.
Robbery / Costa Vida-
1336 S. Foothill
Two male Hispanics (they conversed in Spanish) entered the Costa Vida through the back door. They robbed the business office of the day’s receipts, without the front of the business and associated personnel even being aware the robbery was taking place. Money was placed in a red bag, and the two also demanded the wallet of one victim. One suspect had a heavy build with a black hoodie and the other had a slender build and was wearing all black. Both suspects were wearing ski masks.
1460 W. North Temple St.
Officers were in the area patrolling and spotted a parked suspicious vehicle that had fled from Officers on June 5th. The driver who was later identified as Julio Iribe (dob 7-25-82) was not in the vehicle and fled on foot. Three loaded pistols were found on the driver’s side floor board. Brooks has several warrants for his arrest which include Possession with the Intent to Distribute and Parole Violation. Officers searched the area but were not able to locate Iribe.
Traffic Accident-Fleeing-DUI-K9 Apprehension
828 S. 900 W.
Witnesses at the scene state that driver/suspect, Alexander Bradford (dob 10/03/1992) was traveling “100 miles an hour” southbound on 900 West. North of 800 South he begins to leave drifting skid to a point where he leaves the roadway exactly at the point of the #3 corner of the intersection. Initial impact snaps both front axles He severs cables and phone lines, levels a pay phone and continues through the gas station lot at this address, snapping off at the base several concrete and steel poles and snapping a half inch steel cable before coming to a stop 50 yards or so into the Smith’s parking lot. Brandford jumps from the car, grabs his girlfriend out of the passenger seat, throws her up into a fireman’s carry and flees on foot. K-9 Officers get a track and find the two on Montague Ave. Brandford’s Blood alcohol is .21 and is processed for DUI.
