Auto Ped/Hit and Run
716 N. 900 W.
The victim was walking in the rear parking lot at this location. A dark sedan was driving southbound and hit the victim. The victim sustained critical head injuries. The vehicle left the scene. A short time after the hit and run accident, bike officers were waved over to a vehicle in the roadway at 940 W. 800 S. with a possible DUI driver inside. The vehicle was a dark sedan with front end damage. Officers on scene connected the two events. Porifirio Zamora-Sepulveda 5/28/70, was arrested for Felony 3 DUI, Felony 3 Hit and Run, Class B Hit and Run and no drivers license.
300 S. 400 W.
An officer responded to a fight call near the shelter area. He located the suspect walking away and commands were given for the suspect to stop, the suspect refused. The suspect turned and took a fighting stance. The officer delivered a dose of OC which subdued the suspect. David Jennings 1/26/71, was taken to jail for Interfering. Officers were unable to find a victim or complainant in the fight.
Att. Kidnap, Aggravated Assault, Stolen Vehicle, DUI
400 N. Pamela Way
Jasper Black, 2/10/82, was in the area of 400 N Pamela Way in a Maroon Nissan Maxima. He pulled to the curb and was seen trying to entice a 3 year old child into the car. When several adults intervened, he became angry and threatened to shoot them. He drove away but drove up and down 400 N. past the group yelling about shooting them and made an obvious motion as if to grab a weapon from the seat area. Officers arrived in the area and immediately located the car and stopped it. Jasper was taken into custody without incident. The Maxima had been reported stolen out of West Valley. Jasper was booked for Attempted Child Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a stolen vehicle and DUI.
161 S Pueblo Street
A fight broke out in the parking lot of Klub Deens between two males. The victim stepped in to breakt up the fight and was punched/ stabbed in the right arm. The suspect is described as a male black adult, in his 20′s, 5’3″, with gold teeth and wearing a white/red long sleeve shirt. The victim was transported to the hospital with a minor stab injury to his right upper arm.
