Attempted Auto Theft
599 N. Darwin Street
The owner of a motorcycle came home from church to find Chad Campbell (4/1/91), attempting to steal his motorcycle from the apartment complex parking lot. The owner chased Campbell from the scene. Officers arrived and took Campbell into custody in the area of 200 W. 600 N. Campbell was booked for attempted theft of a vehicle, criminal mischief, theft, and a warrant.

Melvin Bernie Zambrano (5-8-67) and another male were stopped for park curfew in Pioneer Park. While the officer was dealing with the other party Zambrano fled. The officer didn’t pursue at that time but later located Zambrano at 200 S. 300 W. Zambrano fled again heading north behind an apartment building on 200 S. The officer caught up with Zambrano and used his taser, and was able to take Zambrano into custody. Zambrano was booked for park curfew and failure to stop at the command of a police officer.
