Theft/Assault on a police officer/Taser deployment

A man took numerous items from the store and fled from store employees. Officers arrived and were told by citizens that the suspect was hiding in the restroom of a nearby restaurant. Officers made contact with the man and attempted to take him into custody, but the suspect refused to comply. The suspect began to resist the officers’ efforts and began assaulting one of them. One officer used a Taser to gain control of the suspect and take him into custody. Anthony Pendergast (12/22/81) was booked into jail for theft, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and fleeing.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered several bullet holes in the wall of an apartment building and several shell casings on the ground. Officers are continuing the investigation.

Trespassing/Assault on a police officer/Taser deployment

Officers responded to a call of a man who was being aggressive and had been trespassed from the store previously. When officers arrived they attempted to speak with the suspect, but he became aggressive and refused to comply with the officers’ requests. The suspect then began to fight with the officers. One of the officers used pepper spray on the suspect but it had no effect and the suspect continued to fight with officers. Officers then used a Taser and were able to take the suspect into custody. David Nelson (12/19/71) was booked into jail for trespassing, aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
