1962 S. 100 E. (Sugarhouse Laundry)
Officers were dispatched to the Sugarhouse Laundry and observed sparks visible from the back side of the coin change machine. The suspect, Michael Vestal (6/2/61), had crawled through a vent to access the back side of the machine and was using a grinder to access the coins. He made a large hole in the coin machine and pulled wiring pulled. Officers booked Vestal for burglary.
1416 S. State
Officers located Hoang Vu (9/2/61), a suspect in a theft case, at the above address. They made contact with Vu in his hotel room, where in plain view they observed various drug related items. After writing and serving a search warrant for the room, officers found cocaine, heroin and meth. Vu was booked into jail for a felony warrant and three counts of possession of drugs with intent to distribute.
