Officers were dispatched to this location where they found a 23-year-old man asleep against a wall of a coffee shop. The man had a gray pitbull with him on a short leash. He provided inconsistent information about his identity, then he ran from officers. When one of the officers caught the suspect, the pitbull bit the officer on the arm. The officer deployed his Taser on the dog, who released the officer’s arm. The suspect and the dog fled, but the suspect’s identity is known. The officer, who is expected to make a full recovery, was transported to a local hospital with deep wounds from the dog bite.
