Compiled by Watch Commanders in the field, the Watch Log is a summary of events they felt stood out in the last 24-hour period. Items contained herein are based on information available at the time of its release and should not be interpreted as an admission or finding of guilt. Rolling stolen driver arrest
2200 West North Temple
A Jeep was seen at 800 West 200 North, a Sergeant ran the plate and it came back stolen out of Unified Police. The Sergeant waited for other units before stopping the Jeep at the red light at 2200 North North Temple. The driver Cesar Borbon 9-24-64 was taken into custody without incident. He was taken to jail and booked in for: possession of a stolen vehicle and no driver’s license.
Kidnapping human trafficking
110 W. 600 S.
A 23 year old female called 911 and stated that she was abducted in New York, 2-3 weeks ago by the suspect who wanted to use her as a prostitute. Traveling through the Salt Lake area she was able to escape and call for help. The suspect driving a newer 4 door black Mercedes Benz with a New Jersey or Virginia license plate fled the area, possibly traveling to California or Las Vegas. The suspect is described as a black male, possibly Haitian, 5’8″ 28 years of age, heavy set, wearing all black with short black hair and tattoos on his arms. He is also traveling with another female who may be his girl friend. The victim transported to the hospital in for observation. Vice Detectives are actively working the case.
*Update: Vice Detectives have a male in custody possibly related to this case. There have been no arrests as of yet, if an arrest is made that information will go out immediately.
Traffic stop drug arrest
1310 S Jefferson St.
A vehicle was stopped at 1310 S Jefferson St for no insurance. The vehicle was occupied by three people. Driver Salvador Flores 3-2-85 exited the vehicle quickly and came at the officer. Salvador was ordered to stop at gunpoint, the officer called for other officers. Salvador stopped but was still verbally aggressive. As assisting officers arrived, the occupants were taken into custody. Driver Salvador Flores was in possession of meth, paraphernalia, a concealed knife, and prescription medications. Front passenger Sara Bushnell 9-26-90 was in possession of heroin, meth, and Xanax. Rear passenger Raymond Flores 2-3-92 had felony warrants, a concealed knife that looked like a small firearm and another’s ID. All three booked on the above charges.
