On July 23, 2013, at approximately 7:00 pm, Homicide Investigators arrested Vilisoni Angilau (01/14/1993) for the murder of Sione Fakatoufifita. Angilau was taken into custody without incident in West Jordan, Utah. Angilau and Fakatoufifita were members of rival gangs. On April 13, 2013, Angilau and other gang members pursued Fakatoufifita through Salt Lake City. Fakatoufifita arrived at the Maverick Convenience Store, 1680 S. Redwood Rd, where Angilau found him and shot him several times. Angilau was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail on one count of murder, a first-degree felony, and one count of obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony.
