Compiled by Watch Commanders in the field, the Watch Log is a summary of events they felt stood out in the last 24-hour period. Items contained herein are based on information available at the time of its release and should not be interpreted as an admission or finding of guilt. 161 W. 600 S.
Several persons called about a male driver that had collided with a parked tour bus and then passed out at the wheel. As officers arrived the driver resists commands, is combative, and begins trying to re-start the car and drive away. An officer deploys his taser to gain compliance. Casey Kiel (12/24/84) was booked on several charges and a felony warrant out of California.
210 S. Rio Grande
Multiple fights broke out at the shelter when officers attempted to clear the sidewalks for cleaning. Zachary Curtis 02/22/94 was booked for failure to disperse and inciting a riot. Jonathon Davis 02/18/90 was booked for aggravated assault. Multiple officers responded to quell the unruly crowd and restore order.
2104 S. Redwood Rd.
A 31-year-old male was approached by a man armed with a knife and demanding cash. The suspect attempted to stab the victim. While trying to protect himself the victim was stabbed in the hand. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, 125 pounds, 25-years of age, blue bandana, tattoos on both arms.
758 E. 2100 S.
A man entered the Pizza Hut wearing a full black mask, brandishing a handgun and demanding money. The clerk complied and the suspect left the restaurant. No one was injured. He is described as a male Hispanic adult, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, medium build, mask, gloves, red hoodie, and dark colored pants.
633 W. Hodges Lane
A 21-year-old man reported that two men armed with a baseball bat entered his home uninvited and ordered him to leave. The suspects then ransacked the home. The victim knew one of the suspects. Officers responded and found Boyd Oman (3/21/85) and the other suspect. Oman was booked for aggravated burglary and warrants. Charges will be screened on the other male suspect.
500 E. 2100 S.
A man entered the 7-11 wearing a mask, brandishing a handgun, and demanding money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled in an unknown direction. No one was injured. The suspect is described as a black male adult, 5 feet 7 inches tall, red jacket and hood, black ski mask, black pants and gloves.
