A male entered the KFC and approached the counter. He demanded money from the front counter employee. As he demanded the money, he lifted his shirt intimating that he had a weapon in his waistband. The suspect fled the restaurant with money and was last seen walking northbound through the parking lot. The suspect was described as a white male in his mid twenties approximately 5’11” with a slim build. He had a dark moustache and sunken in “scruffy” cheeks. The suspect was last seen wearing a light colored baseball hat with a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Officers observed a vehicle that they confirmed to be stolen. They attempted to stop the vehicle but the vehicle fled. Officers did not pursue the vehicle. A few minutes later, a citizen called in to report that they observed a male abandon a vehicle in the area of 500 N and New Star Drive. Officers located the abandoned vehicle but were unable to find the suspect. This investigation is ongoing.

Rolling Stolen Redwood Rd. and North Temple

The victim called police and stated he found his stolen truck in the parking lot of the Denny’s located at 1701 W North Temple. The truck was reported stolen approximately two hours prior. The victim watched the suspect walk out of the Denny’s, get into the vehicle, and leave the parking lot. Officers arrived in the area and located the vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated. The driver, later identified as Frank Vilarino (11/2/88), was transported and booked into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle.
