400 W. 100 S.
A 28-year-old male victim reported that he was robbed today while walking in the area of 400 West and 100 South. He was approached by two males and when one of the men started to speak Spanish he told him to speak English. The man pulled out a weapon and the victim punched him in the face. As the victim noticed the other suspect coming towards him he fled on foot. As the victim ran he dropped his phone case, containing cash, identification, and credit cards. A witness called police and the suspects fled the scene. Suspect #1 was described as a male Hispanic adult, early-20′s, 130-140 pounds, 5 feet 8 inches, black shirt, black pants, gray base ball cap with black brim. Suspect #2 was described as a male Hispanic adult, early-20′s, 5 feet 8 inches, 130-140 pounds, wearing a red and black shirt, red and black back pack, light blue jeans.
2885 S. Highland Drive
A man entered the business, brandished a weapon and demanded money from an employee. The employee complied and the suspect fled the store. The suspect was described as a male white adult, 5 feet 6 inches, mid-20′s, 125 pounds, thin build, bushy eyebrows, wearing a grey hoodie with the hood pulled up, blue bandanna over his face, and dark pants.
800 W 800 S
Officers responded to a dispute over property and were advised that a weapon was involved. Officers were confronted by multiple subjects and as they attempted to gain control of the scene two people were not co-operative. Porshae Avant (07/13/94) and a female juvenile were arrested. Avant was booked into jail for criminal mischief, failure to comply, assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and warrants. The juvenile was booked into the juvenile detention center for aggravated assault, criminal mischief and riot.
1927 S 3200 W
A 26-year-old male reported that as he was exiting the gas station when he saw an unknown female suspect in his car. The victim tried to confront the female suspect as she was exiting his car but two male suspects came towards him and one insinuated he had a weapon. The three suspects got into a vehicle which was found to be stolen and fled the scene. It was discovered that the female had stolen the victim’s phone and it was tracked to the Rose Park area, but the suspects and stolen vehicle were not located. The stolen vehicle is a grey, Subaru Impreza with stolen UT plate A757LM. The female suspect is described as a white female with strawberry blonde hair, 25 to 35-years-old. Male suspect #1 was described as a white male, 25 to 30-years old, with short facial hair and a cast on his foot. Male suspect #2 was described as a male Hispanic, 30 to 40-years-old.
