Benigno Lopez (05/25/86) strangled his pregnant wife during an argument and then fled the scene on a bicycle. The victim called police and responding officers located Lopez at 350 E. 1700 S. Lopez fled from officers, but they took him into custody a short time later. Officers booked Lopez into jail on several charges, including aggravated assault. Medical transported the victim to a local hospital for evaluation.

Adam K. Thompson (6/22/83) entered the Wells Fargo Bank and gave the teller a note that demanded money. The teller complied and Thompson fled the bank on foot. Responding officers located Thompson walking eastbound on North Temple Street. Officers took Thompson into custody without incident and booked him into jail on robbery charges.

An officer attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Jose Ignacio Lucena (1/31/93) for a traffic violation. Lucena fled from the officer, who did not pursue him. Officers located Lucena’s abandoned vehicle and found him a short time later in the same area. When they took him into custody, officers found Lucena to be in possession of drugs, ammunition and a backpack with pistols. They booked him into jail on drug and firearms violation charges.
