An officer received information that a male with a 1,000,000 warrant for a sexual assault out of Idaho might be in the area of the shelter. The officer located Daniel Aleman (7/15/57) today and booked him into jail.

The victim reported that he was walking in the area with Nicholas Houk (2-4-85). When the two got into the alley Houk pulled a knife and demanded the victim’s money. When an officer attempted to stop Houk he fled on foot. After a short foot chase he was taken into custody. Houk was taken to jail for Aggravated Robbery and class A Fleeing.

The victim in this case reported that he was sleeping in his vehicle when a bullet struck his driver’s side rear wing window. The victim did not see anything and could not provide any suspect information.

SLCPD SWAT executed a search warrant for the narcotics unit. As a result of the search, methamphetamine, paraphernalia and edged weapons were seized. Tyrone McDaniels and Ladeisha Strong were booked for possession of a controlled substance and other related charges.
