Safe Streets Gang Task Force detectives contacted a group of males in Poplar Grove Park for alcohol violations. Members of the group were underage and had been drinking. The group decided to fight with officers but were all quickly taken into custody. During the stop, detectives found a stolen handgun in a backpack belonging to Pupunga Pututau (9/13/92). He was booked for possession of a stolen firearm. Nia Lutui (6/5/93) and Samuela Tuai (1/4/92) were both arrested for interfering and assault on a police officer. Joseph Nasiali was taken to jail for a parole violation. Another male juvenile was arrest for alcohol in the park, false information, and assault on a police officer.
