Officers responded to a drug problem where several people were possibly using drugs on the street corner. Officers contacted a 35-year-old man, who possessed drug paraphernalia. As the officers attempted to take the man into custody he actively fought them. While the officers were taking the man into custody, they saw Maria Martinez (5/10/80) and Patrick Noles (9/13/92) disposing drugs and drug paraphernalia. Additional officers responded and took Martinez and Noles into custody. Martinez and Noles were booked into jail on several charges that included tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. The 35-year-old man was transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation of facial abrasions and a bruise under his eye that he sustained as he fought with officers. The hospital medically cleared the man be booked into jail; however, the jail refused the man for medical reasons. The man was released and charges will be screened against him.
