The victim was at the Burger King having breakfast with a friend. For an unknown reason Joel Mejia Estrada (1/21/1984) entered the Burger King and stabbed the victim, then left the scene. Officers located the Estrada in a nearby parking garage where he was hiding in a truck. The victim was transported to local hospital and is in stable condition. Estrada was booked into jail for attempted homicide.

A crew cleaning up garbage along the Jordan River discovered the body of 49 year old Francisco Cruz in the river. The victim’s family was notified and detectives are investigating to determine the exact cause of death.

A male suspect entered the above business and demanded money. The clerk refused to comply and the suspect left the store on foot. He is described as a male in his 40’s, 5’10”, with a stocky build. The investigation is continuing.
