Officers responded to a local hospital on a report of a male who had been admitted into the hospital for injuries sustained in an assault. Officers met with the 32 year old male victim who stated that he had been sitting in the park alone when a group of males approached him and asked for a cigarette. The males began assaulting the victim and took the victim’s wallet and cell phone. The males then left the park in an unknown direction. The victim then went to the hospital to seek treatment for his injuries. The victim was unable to give a description of the suspects.
