Officers began a search for an 11-year-old autistic child reported missing from her home. Detectives were called out and numerous officers from SLCPD searched for the child. Air support was provided by the Utah Highway Patrol and UMED to search areas of the Jordan River with helicopters, and “A Child is Missing” notification was activated. At 11:24 p.m. the child was located by West Valley Police in the area of 3300 S. 5600 W. The child was in good condition and was returned home.

A 28-year-old man had just exited his vehicle when a suspect pointed a gun at him and demanded his wallet. The suspect took the wallet from the victim and fled on foot. Suspect described as a male black adult, 6 feet 1 inch tall, large build, with facial hair, and wearing a dark jacket.
