Shoplifting

Security stopped a male adult for shoplifting. The suspect resisted and managed to escape. He is described as a white male adult, 20’s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, long blond hair, jeans, silver or gray jacket, black hat.

Vehicle Pursuit
900 S. State St.

An officer observed a vehicle run a red light at a high rate of speed. The officer attempted to pull the car over but it only continued to accelerate. As the suspect vehicle sped away the driver attempted to ram a different police car responding to the area. A pursuit was initiated, wound through city streets, the freeway, and terminated at 600 N. 900 W. The suspect driver ran a red light and collided with a westbound vehicle. The 23-year-old male driver attempted to flee but was captured. Two men in the other vehicle received minor injuries from the crash. The vehicle the suspect was driving was found to be stolen out of West Valley City. Driver Derek Vigil (6/27/90) was booked into jail on several charges from the pursuit including fleeing and aggravated assault.

A male employee was closing up the Boost Mobile store and walking to the parking lot. He was confronted by a man brandishing a weapon. The suspect forced the victim back into the store, assaulting him. After going through the store the suspect took the victim’s car keys and fled with his car. The vehicle is a white Honda Accord. The suspect is described as a black male adult in his 30’s, 5 feet 6 inches tall, heavy set, a black jacket, hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, goatee and mustache.
