Stabbing

It was reported that a 23-year-old male had been stabbed in the face while in the area of the shelter.  The victim was transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition. Officers located and arrested Luis J. Najera (4/22/59) for aggravated assault and several outstanding warrants.

Bones
500 N. 200 West

A home owner near the above address was digging a large hole in the ground in his back yard when he unearthed what appeared to be human bones.  The Medical Examiner responded to collect the bones and will attempt to date them. As of this writing the bones are thought to be very old.

Assault

A 43-year-old male was found near the shelter with serious facial wounds. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Officers were unable to find any witnesses to the possible assault. The victim was unable to communicate to officers about the incident. This case is still under investigation.
