A school resource officer approached a man who was trespassing on the West High School sports field and found him to be in possession of heroin and crack cocaine. German Turcios Ramirez (4/11/90) was booked on several charges including possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Aggravated Assault

A man reported that he was outside his home when his ex-girlfriend and an unknown man unexpectedly showed up. The couple exited the car. The ex-girlfriend began to assault the victim and the man brandished a handgun and threatened to shoot him. The victim ran into his house and locked the door. The couple unsuccessfully tried to gain entry. The victim reported hearing gunshots before the couple fled. Investigation ongoing.

A man and a woman were driving northbound on 900 West when a westbound SUV collided with their pickup. The 35-year-old male driver of the SUV was ejected and transported in serious but stable condition. The two pickup occupants were also transported in stable condition.

Shots Fired

A resident called to report hearing several gunshots northeast of her home.  Officers checked the area and located several shell casings in the street.  No damage was found and there were no reported injuries.
