SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department seeks the public’s help to identify and locate several pieces of large industrial equipment stolen from a construction site.

On the morning of Tuesday, August 26, 2014, employees of J&M Steel Solutions arrived at 4325 W Commercial Ave. to find that their secured storage container was missing $60,000 worth of equipment. Most of the stolen items were marked with the company’s initials, J&M. The larger pieces include Ranger welders, Hilti nail guns and saws. The property has been listed in a stolen property data base, so anyone considering the purchase of similar property from a secondary source would do well to check the serial number with a local police agency.

The Police Department asks anyone with information about this or other criminal activity to call (801) 799-3000. Anonymous tips may be sent by texting the keyword TIPSLCPD plus any relevant information to 274637. Reference: 14-147794.
