Assault/stabbing

Two men argued with a third and then began to beat him. The victim responded by stabbing one of the two men. Both suspects fled but later flagged down an ambulance. The stabbed suspect was transported to a local hospital in fair condition. The other assault suspect, Jordan Faamaoni (5/18/94), was booked for assault.

Witnesses reported a fight at the shelter in which someone brandished a handgun. As officers arrived, two suspects drove off. Officers followed the vehicle to 1700 S. 700 E. where the driver lost control and collided with another vehicle as both suspects fled the scene. K9 Units deployed. “Otto” and a K9 from UPD found one of the suspects nearby. Marcus Washington (8/24/ 83), was booked on weapons violations and other charges.

Drug Arrest
1450 W. 600 N.

An officer drove past a man and a woman walking near Riverside Park in the early morning hours. The man saw the officer and took off running into the park. The officer located and arrested the man a short time later. Kirby Benally(11/12/87), was booked on several drug charges, enhanced because of being in the park.
