Theft in Progress/Foot Pursuit
611 S. West Temple

An officer was pulling into the parking lot of Raw Bean Coffee when a man, Marcus Crawford (7/11/76), exited the shop, followed by an employee.  The employee alleged that Crawford had stolen money from the store’s tip jar. Crawford began running when he saw the officer and ran inside MillCreek Coffee (657 S. Main St.). Officers set up containment and cleared employees and customers from the business.  After searching the premises, they found Crawford hiding in the warehouse, stolen currency in his hand. Officers booked Crawford, a suspect in other tip jar thefts over the last month, for felony enhanced theft, fleeing on foot, and trespass.
