A 24-year-old man was approached by another man at the TRAX station. The suspect brandished a weapon and demanded everything in the victim’s pockets. The victim picked up a large rock and chased the suspect down the street. The suspect, with weapon, was eventually located by police and taken into custody. James Gardner, 28, was booked for aggravated robbery.

A witness stated he observed what may have been a black Chevy Trailblazer traveling northbound on 1400 West. Someone inside fired shots from the vehicle. Officers found that two of the shots struck a parked car and other shots hit a building. There were no reported injuries.

Stolen vehicle

A victim called police and said he had received a tip that his stolen car was in the area of the avenues. Police responded and located the car with two persons inside. Ricky Lewis, 39, and Jaime Turnbow, 36, were both booked for possession of a stolen vehicle and other charges.
