A 22-year-old man was drinking heavily and got into an argument with his father. The son picked up a golf club and swung it at the father, nearly striking him. He used the golf club to break out portions of the back porch railing. He then got a handgun and threatened to shoot himself and the father. The father was able retrieve the weapon and secure it prior to police arrival. Robert Metcalf, 22, was booked for domestic violence related aggravated assault and criminal mischief.

Dispatch received multiple calls of shots fired. A 42-year-old female reported that her house had been struck numerous times. Officers arrived and found approximately 20-30 shell casings in the roadway and numerous bullet holes in the house. No occupants were injured. Witnesses stated that two Polynesian males stood in the street, shooting at the house then left the scene in a gray or light brown vehicle.  Investigators also found that gunfire damaged the house to the north as well. Investigation ongoing.

Car prowl arrest

A man called to report his car had just been broken into and a backpack along with two handguns had been stolen. Officers converged and saw the suspect riding a bicycle at 700 S. Lake Street. The backpack and handguns were found with the suspect.  Property from other car prowls was also located. Joshua Duvall,24, was booked for vehicle burglary, possession of stolen property, and several warrants.
