Victim was in the process of discarding some garbage at the facility’s trash compactor when he was attacked by Kenneth Underwood 52. Kenneth had been sleeping behind the compactor and was apparently startled by the victim. Kenneth surprised the victim from behind while attempting to cut him with what turned out to be the metal cross-bar portion of a file hanging system. Fortunately, the weapon Kenneth had been wielding did not have a sharpened edge which prevented it from actually lacerating the skin. Kenneth was also seeing imaginary people armed with guns. Kenneth was taken to jail for Aggravated Assault and Possession of a controlled substance. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
