A 34-year-old woman was gathering her belongings to leave the residence when her boyfriend pushed her to the ground and threatened her with a handgun. The female victim was able to get out of the house and police arrived shortly after. Officers found the suspect at a nearby convenience store. David Merrill, 38, was booked for aggravated assault and several other domestic-related charges.

A female clerk reported that she had opened the till and began to count it when she was confronted by a man. The man pushed her to the ground, grabbed the money from the till, and ran out the west doors. The suspect was described as a black male adult, 5 feet 7inches, 140 pounds, wearing a dark hoodie with white lettering CALI on the front, dark baseball cap, and levis. The clerk was not injured.

Burglary and officer involved shooting
838 S. Roberta St.

Officers were called to a burglary in progress. An arriving officer found a woman stabbed in the abdomen and located the suspect still in the residence. The officer shot andkilled the suspect, Robert Berger, 48. Per policy/protocol, the officer is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the outside investigation by the Unified Police Department.
