Compiled by Watch Commanders in the field, the Watch Log is a summary of events that stand out to them in a given 24-hour period. Call times listed are approximate and typically reflect the first call received by SLC911 (Dispatch) for a given case. Shots fired

Police received a report of shots fired on the east side of Liberty Park. When officers arrived, witnesses had chased the three male suspects into the neighborhoods west of the park. Officers contained the area and two of the suspects were taken into custody. The third suspect attempted to break containment but was captured near 1400 South and 500 East after a foot chase. During the chase the suspect discarded a coat and a bag. The items were retrieved and contained a handgun and a large amount of illegal narcotics (mushrooms, marijuana and dab). Officers booked Joseph Momoh, 21, into jail for discharge of a firearm into a crowd, fleeing, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, and possession of narcotics.

Multiple shots fired cases

Three shots fired calls were reported; one around 2:30 a.m. in the area of 600 N. Sir Phillip Drive, another around 3:00 a.m. in the area of 1800 W. 400 N., and a third around 3:30 a.m. at 1300 W. Indiana Avenue. There was a mixture of 9mm and .22 caliber casings located at the scenes. Officers responded and investigated all the cases. At 4:13 a.m. officers located the suspect vehicle at 894 N. Westpointe Circle. The officers observed two males sleeping inside the car with a .22 rifle between the passenger’s legs. Officers were able to remove the rifle before waking up the suspects and take them into custody. A 9mm pistol was located inside the passenger’s vehicle. Officers booked Enrique Millan, 20, and Jose Millan, 19, into jail for 9 counts of aggravated assault, 12 counts of discharging a firearm and criminal mischief.
