Robbery Strong-Arm & Theft
300 S State St.
16-88130 & 16-88164Female victim had been walking East along the North sidewalk of 300 S (between Main & State St.) when the suspect Matthew Wiseman 23 yrs old rode up behind her on his bike and forcibly grabbed her wallet from her hand. After having successfully stolen the wallet, Matthew inadvertently dropped it; he did not attempt to retrieve it and rode off around the corner Northbound on State. About 45 minutes later a second victim called the PD to report a similar incident. Officers were able to combine the details of both incidents and get an accurate description of Wiseman. Wiseman was located as he was riding about in the area of the Men’s Shelter. Wiseman was booked into jail for Robbery and Theft.

Burglary/ Officer needing assistance
1420 North 1200 West

An officer was in the area investigating a burglary that occurred at the Guadalupe School located at 1385 N. 1200 West. The officer was able to locate a possible suspect vehicle at the above address. The occupant of the vehicle, suspect, Filberto Salazar 40yrs old was extremely uncooperative and was acting in a way that had the officer concerned for his safety. The officer called for back-up a “10-33” was called and help arrived. Officers had to use a Taser to take the suspect into custody as he was fighting and resisting officers. Salazar was booked into jail for Burglary, Felony Criminal Mischief, and resisting arrest.
