Salt Lake City Water Department workers were cleaning out a drainage pipe near the Jordan River when they discovered a body. The body was badly decomposed. Fire rescue responded to help remove the body from the water.

Robbery

A male adult was approached by a man on a mountain bike. The male suspect brandished a handgun and took the victims property. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult in his 30’s, thin build, thin mustache, wearing a black hat, t-shirt and dark colored shorts. The suspect left the area on a silver colored mountain bike.
2:25 a.m.
Burglary
819 N. North Temple St.
16-152068
A male adult suspect, 38, was seen breaking windows and yelling on the second floor of the Gateway Inn. The suspect attempted to enter one of the rooms which was occupied by a man and his wife. A physical altercation ensued between the two men. During the altercation the suspect was stabbed and pushed through a window. The suspect went and laid on the driveway where officers found him. The suspect was taken to a local hospital for injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
