Detectives were searching for a suspect in a shooting earlier in the week when they observed the suspect in a vehicle and attempted to stop him. The suspect fled the area and police pursued. During the pursuit the suspect threw items out of his window. Police stopped the suspect at 400 East Cleveland Avenue took him into custody. Police booked Hector Chacon, (23) for felony discharge of a firearm, fleeing, aggravated assault, destruction of evidence, possession of a firearm by a restricted person and other drug possession charges.
