Assault on police officer

Officers responded on a trespasser at the Wal-Mart. As the suspect was being escorted out of the building he pulled away and swung at officers with a closed fist. Officers booked Anthony Broadus, 29, into jail for assault on a police officer, trespassing, and interference.

Robbery

A woman was removing money from her purse when she was approached by 6 people. One suspect displayed a knife and grabbed the victim’s purse. The suspects fled the area on foot. The victim located her purse however the money was missing. Two of the suspects were described as a black male adult and a black female adult.

Aggravated robbery

Officers were dispatched on a fight involving several men. The victim got into a verbal argument with two suspects which escalated into a physical fight. The suspects appear to have taken items from the victim during the assault. The suspects have been identified. Investigation ongoing.
