Fatal traffic accident

A vehicle was driving west on 2700 South when it struck a tree on the south side of the road. The female driver received minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. A 4 year-old-child was transported to the hospital, but later was pronounced dead. Investigation ongoing.

Burglary

Residents heard someone breaking into their garage and went out to find a female had entered and was removing property. Police responded and Megan Velte, 31, was booked into jail for burglary.
