Injury accident
South Temple & State Street

A driver was north-bound on State Street, and from witness accounts, appeared to be racing with another vehicle. As the driver maneuvered to avoid hitting another vehicle, he was unable to maintain control and collided with a pylon, which sent his vehicle careening into the stairs of a nearby building. Fire personnel had to mechanically extricate the driver from the vehicle and he was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, but was later stabilized.
