Possession of Stolen Vehicle

Officers spotted a stolen scooter driving in the area of North Temple and Redwood. When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle it fled into the parking lot of Sutherlands. The suspect attempted to flee back onto Redwood but because of the heavy lunch traffic the suspect had nowhere to run. Kambiz Bakhtiari, 39, was taken into custody and booked for possession of stolen vehicle, fleeing, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, warrants and theft. Auto Theft Unit detectives responded.
