A witness reported that a male was breaking into their neighbor’s garage and that the suspect fled the scene on foot. A K-9 officer and his partner arrived and located the suspect hiding in some bushes. They confronted the suspect and were able to take him into custody. Several items belonging to the victims were located with the suspect. During the investigation, officers were able to link the property to the garage and two vehicles. Officers booked Robert Messer, 51 into jail for burglary, two counts of vehicle burglary, three counts of theft, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A man stated a suspect came into his store and had the hood of his sweatshirt pulled over his head. The suspect approached the counter and directed the victim to give him all the cash from the register. No weapon was seen. The suspect also demanded cigarettes. Once the suspect had the cigarettes and cash, he left the store on foot. The suspect is described as a large, dark-skinned male, possibly Polynesian, wearing a dark hoodie and camouflage pants.
